Yesterday I hung out with photographers Jason Dulin, Ben Epps, and Daniel Clark.
They were playing with various lighting arrangements with 1 to 3 lights, grids, socks, and bounces. Also, they were using Capture, and Lightroom 3′s tethering feature, which I knew nothing about.
With the USB cable run from Jason’s D300 to his lappy, every image he shot immediately opened in Lightroom. This is far preferable to viewing the image on the LCD on the rear face of the camera, as it’s resolution often lets one miss any errors in focus.
At the time of this post, Lightroom 3 is free while in beta. If you ever take digital photos, from a real DSLR down to a camera phone, you need to try this appliction. It is nothing short of amazing.
It is currently available HERE.
